SHRIMP AND CRAB DIP

Ingredients:

2 cans crab meat

2 cans shrimp

2 8 oz. packages of cream cheese

1 stick butter

1 small onion, chopped fine

1 red bell pepper, chopped fine

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 loaf Hawaiian bread

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350.

In a large sauce pan, saute onion and red bell pepper in butter for 5 minutes or until tender.  Stir in crab meat, shrimp and cream cheese and heat until the cream cheese is melted.

Transfer into an 8″x8″ baking dish and stir in shredded cheddar cheese.

Bake for 20 minutes.

Hollow out a loaf of the sweet Hawaiian bread, saving the inside pieces for dipping.  Pour the crap/shrimp mixture inside the bread.  You can serve hot or make ahead and chill.

This is a real crowd pleaser at parties and makes plenty to go around!
