SPLIT PEA SOUP

This is a very hearty soup and is prepared in the Crock Pot, so with
just a few extra minutes in the morning you’ll have dinner ready when you come home.

Ingredients:

1 bag of dried split peas

1 lb. beef smoked sausage

1 onion, chopped

5 carrots, sliced

2 cans chicken broth

4 cups water

1 tbsp. minced garlic

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Slice sausage and brown in a medium skillet for about 5 minutes.  Drain fat and transfer to Crock Pot.  Add remainder of ingredients and cook on low for 8 hours.
