I don’t recommend eating this everyday unless you want to be on a first
name basis with your cardiologist, but this is the real thing…perfect
to smother over homemade biscuits.
Fry a pound of bacon. Pour about half of the grease in a glass container to save for future cooking (a great base to use for roux in gumbo).
On medium high heat, add 4 heaping tbsp. of flour and stir until well blended.
Slowly whisk in 4 cups of milk, stirring constantly until gravy is to desired consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over bisuits and have the bacon on the side.
