Great article, I heartily agree with all of it! We need to pray for our country and ourselves as never before.
I think you might also have mentioned the pandemic addiction to porn as part of the reason for Christians’ complacency in our cultural crisis. This addiction of course helps fuel divorce and abortion, too.
As for the bishops’ recent statements on healthcare, their insistence on conscience clauses, etc., is too little too late.
They helped create the complacent Catholics who helped elect Obama, and frankly I’ve still haven’t heard as many pro-life sermons in our local Catholic churches as the times warrant.
I have heard, however, even after the healthcare debate heated up and Obama’s abortion agenda was confirmed, a sermon comparing Christ to a community organizer. BARF!
And where are the other churches and their views?
