I wish for you, my friend,
To feel the gentle breeze
That rustles and moves the leaves
The warmth of the sun
Dappled and softened through the shade
And to see the sky, blue without a cloud.
I wish for you, my friend,
To stand at the seashore
See the waves pounding on the beach
Sending fine spray into the sky
To taste the salt in the air
To listen to the sound of the boats
The tinkle from the masts and the creak of the ropes
I wish for you, my friend,
To stand at the top of a mountain
On a clear crisp day
To see the beautiful colours
Green, grey, brown and blue
Watch a while the trees rocks and scree
Gazing into the distant views
I wish for you, my friend,
Rest peace and calm
The warmth of a roaring fire
Logs spluttering in the hearth
To watch the pictures in the flames
Yellow, orange and gold
The crackle and hiss of the wood
Time for thinking and dreaming
These are just a few of
The many good things
I wish for you, my friend,
May life bring you
Many special times of
Colour,
Warmth and
Joy
