For Valentine’s Day today
My Heavenly Father gave to me
A whole new day to live
And eyes with which to see
All the wonderful things He has made
For me to enjoy with great zest
Reminding me all the while
God only gives out His best.
He gave me ears to hear
All the noises that do surround
And a heart to fill with enjoyment today
With gratefulness for every sound.
He gave me a mouth to speak
Kindness and love to all around
Knowing He gives all of Himself
And His love does so abound.
This day is a good day
To say “I love you” to those so dear.
What greater gift for any man
Than these special words to hear?
The only thing better than hearing
These special words that I know
Is for the other days of this same year
To make sure your love you show.
For your gifts today, Father
And other days for all you do
I want to take the time to say
My Heavenly Father, I love YOU!

My name is Ruby Harris. I live near Birmingham, Alabama and I write spiritual lessons from Father God in poetry form. I have to live it to write it. I have been doing this since 1984. I am married and have 4 daughters and 6 grandchildren. Two twenty-one year old grandsons are in the Army together. I have one book published and it was delivered just before my husband had open heart surgery. I have given most of them to Doctors and Nurses and other patients that we come across in our “health adventures”. Two years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and God has healed me. A year ago He gave me a photo that is so life changing that you have to see it to believe it. Every poem I share I gets the same reaction. Did you write this just for me?
