Romance is totally wasted on me
If Jesus crucified you do not see;
Freshly-cut roses in a fragrant bunch;
Treating me to a nice dinner or lunch
Does not impress me if you do not care
About the lost souls in the world out there.
True love without Jesus is no love at all;
Couples without Him will stumble and fall
For if a good wife and her husbandman
Do not live according to God’s divine plan
Set out in His Word to teach and to guide
Satan will attack, destroy and divide.
Tell me you love Him, much more than me;
Allow me Jesus Christ in you to see -
Then I will know I am safe in your arms
Loved and protected from heartache and harm;
I don’t need romance or flowery rhymes -
Only put Jesus Christ first at all times.
