WHAT DOES HE SEE IN ME?

When God looks down from heav’n above,
What does He see in me?
Does He discern this child yearns
To sit upon His knee?

He sees the need for love I feel,
The hunger to belong,
And sees the struggle that I face
In choosing right o’er wrong.

Because of Jesus’ sacrifice
God sees my sins no more,
They’re covered by Christ’s righteousness
Which He cannot ignore.

And though I stumble as I walk
He is so proud of me,
For when I fall I don’t give up,
To Him I simply flee.

He sees my heart’s desire,
He sees my soul’s intent,
He gives me strength to overcome,
His life I represent.

He loves me as He loves His Son,
How can I comprehend
A love so pure, so deep, so strong
That it will never end!

He sees me as a treasure
More valuable than gold,
And one day when He calls me home,
I’ll feel His arms enfold.
