My heart’s weighed down by the path mankind has chosen
And I know the day is nearing when God will take us home…
When I see sons rise up against their fathers,
And brothers rise up against another,
I realise the ancient prophecies have finally come to pass.
Jesus desires that we all shall live.
To know He loves us through His grace,
And when we turn from our wicked ways
Make haste to live as Jesus taught us to…
I realize the day is coming and we need to be on guard.
My soul cries out against the pain of sin that’s in the world,
To know the day is coming when Jesus will take me home…
When I see Christians tear down the work of others,
And His children slander among themselves,
I realize the final battle—is just beyond tomorrow.
