PA Senator Is Gone After 30 Years
In a powerful show of election force, voters in Pennsylvania took up
the anti-incumbent torch this week and, like several other states,
declared they weren’t even waiting for November to overhaul the
Washington machine.
After decades of building his resume as a
“career politician,” which twice included switching parties out of
convenience to save his seat, 30-year Senator Arlen Specter (D) is out
in the primaries. Meanwhile, in the first big Tea Party victory, the
Republican primary for Senate in Kentucky saw upstart Rand Paul easily
defeat Trey Grayson.
All of this happened a week after primaries
also ousted three-term Senator Bob Bennett (R) of Utah and 28-year
House Representative Alan Mollohan (D) of West Virginia.
“The American people are in a
very anti-establishment mood right now,” reports American Majority President, Ned Ryun. (www.americanmajority.org) “Make no mistake
about that. And it doesn’t matter which party the incumbent belongs to.
Voters want change. They want leadership that reflects their values and
puts their interests first. They’re fed up with fiscal irresponsibility
and the growth of government. And, this year, they intend to do
something about it.”

LeChat – Good One! Only I thought Specter had a “sold-out by” date.
Despite the fact that Specter is a shameless opportunist and thoroughly despicable human being, I actually feel sorry for him. He’s well past his sell-by date.
