SO CATCH ME A WHISPER

So catch me a whisper

In beauty of pale light

Crisp sunlight of changing

From summer to fall

 

The gilt winged dragonflies

Stretch their dew covered wings

In golden rays to dry them

For summer’s sweet final flight

 

Seasons and cycles

Of breathing in first then out

Come up to Me here now

Beckons Father’s sweet shout …

About Iris Woytowich

Iris lives in the Canadian prairies and has always loved to write poetry. She writes with a style that is both modern, yet reflecting the everlasting sameness of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Iris is married with two lovely school aged children, and has been privileged to remain at home during the course of their upbringing. Prior to this, she worked in long term health care. She has attended university where she enjoyed English studies as well as attained a certificate in Health Care Administration. Iris has a lifelong love of the arts where she has participated in dance, visual art, and of course poetry. She enjoys travelling, and also just seeing Christ revealed in everyday situations and occurrences.
