Boxer blames staff, Jackson Lee calls in
the DOJ to protect voters from Tea Party
Two major Democratic Party candidates
seeking election have in less than two week’s time violated federal election laws in ways that
can only be described as either audacious or completely stupid. First, Sheila Jackson Lee showed up earlier
in the week at a polling place and began electioneering and intimidating poll
watchers. Some of Representative
Jackson Lee’s campaigning was caught on tape.
The above video clearly shows
Representative Sheila Jackson Lee outside an early voting polling place, where
she also offices, engaged in campaigning.
Don’t believe your own lying eyes? Eyewitnesses from inside the polling
place confirm the actions of the
Congresswoman from the Texas 18th Congressional
District as well. (See the specifics on the law at the end of this article)
Jackson Lee didn’t stop with simply
breaking federal law, she decided to then approach and intimidate poll
watchers.
Liberty Pundits.net
reports –
“A source speaking on the condition of anonymity said that she heard people
say that Sheila Jackson Lee was in the voting area. The lobby of the building
was chaotic because some people were in line to vote and some people were in
line for the food bank.
“So the source, a poll watcher, went into the room housing the voting booths
and there stood Congresswoman Lee shaking hands with voters and greeting
others–clearly electioneering. The poll watcher then went to one of the clerks
and asked the presiding judge to take care of it.
“Lee then went to the poll watcher and asked,’What’s your name? Who do you
represent?’”
So awful was SJL’s behavior that the
judge for the polling place asked, then told, the “Honorable” Ms. Jackson Lee to
scram. Vacate the premises.
So, what was Sheila Jackson Lee’s
reaction? An apology? A confession of guilt and offer to pay the
fine or serve the time? No, Sheila
Jackson Lee called the Department of Justice and asked the DOJ to come to
Houston and keep an eye out for election law violations and voter intimidation
by…wait for it…the Tea Party.
This is basically like Jesse James
calling the town sheriff in to keep an eye on a bank teller who might be
tempted to slip a buck in his pocket, while the James Gang is busy cleaning out
the vault.
Sheila Jackson Lee proves once again she
has no shame. Lee is on the
record in equating
the grass roots Tea Party movement with the KKK.
In
July at an NAACP Legislative Workshop in Kansas City, Jackson Lee said, “I’m
going to be engaging you with those very powerful numbers that you have offered
on what the tea party recognizes, uh, or is recognized as. Might I add my own
P.S.? All those who wore sheets a long time ago have now lifted them off and
started wearing, uh, clothing, uh, with a name, say, I am part of the tea
party.”
SJL continued, “Don’t you be fooled. Those who used to wear sheets are
now being able to walk down the aisle and speak as a patriot because you will
not speak loudly about the lack of integrity of this movement. Don’t let
anybody tell you that those who spit on us as we were walking to vote on a
health care bill for all of America or those who said Congresswoman
Jackson-Lee’s braids were too tight in her hair had anything to do with justice
and equality and empowerment of the American people. Don’t let them fool you on
that.”
Sheila Jackson Lee is engaged in the
tried and true Democrat strategy of fear mongering. She points to the Tea Party and yells, “Klan,”
expecting that every African-American living in the Texas 18th
Congressional District is too stupid to know better. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee is trying
desperately to fan the flames of fear and is using her own brand of racism as
the fuel. This is not a tactic worthy of a leader. It is a hateful practice that denigrates the process, our traditions, our laws, and the office which Rep. Jackson Lee seeks.
Is this the person we want to continue
to represent the Texas 18th?
Is this the kind of person that should be allowed to serve in our U.S.
Congress?
As a Representative of the people of the
United States of America, Ms. Jackson Lee is involved in writing, or in her
case, at least voting for, legislation that will become law. Yet, she flagrantly, angrily and defiantly
breaks election law while pointing a finger of accusation at a group that has
done nothing wrong.
It’s beyond shameful. It’s an outright disgrace and the kind of old
school divide and conquer class warfare mentality of a politician who will
stoop as low as necessary to get re-elected that we need to be done with in our
great country.
Unfortunately, the Texas 18th
Congressional District is not the only place in America where those who are
sworn to uphold and defend our Constitution and to honor our laws will choose
to violate them in pursuit of an election victory. California Senator Barbara Boxer was busted
just a few days ago for violating election law, too.
Senator Boxer’s campaign sent a letter
to the Los Angeles Unified School District soliciting students to work for her
(See the letter in the Slideshow).
The letter reads in part, “Various
Government and Social Studies teachers throughout Los Angeles have asked if
their students could take part in our campaign to gain an invaluable
educational experience on one of the highest profile Senate races in this
election, earn extra credit, or fulfill class volunteer hours. We want to extend this opportunity to all
local students and invite them to our state headquarters in Hollywood to volunteer.”
This, too is a direct violation of
election law. The Howard Jarvis Taxpayer
Association blew the whistle in a letter sent to the Superintendent of the Los
Angeles Unified School District.
What did Senator Boxer do? Did she admit to violating the law? Did she throw herself on the mercy of the court? No she threw her staff under the bus by offering an “apology” keeping with the tradition of the 21st
Century Democratic Party.
Boxer’s apology said in part, “….this letter which was written by a volunteer and reviewed by a junior staffer was inappropriate and we apologize.”
President Harry S. Truman used to say, “The Buck Stops Here.”
Today’s Democrat hears the word “Buck” and wonders if they’ve taxed it yet.
Truman understood, as do all good leaders, that a leader is responsible for the actions of their team members or staff. Senator Boxer is no leader. She is a politician only interested in getting elected again. So what if that means laying blame, all blame, on a volunteer.
A true leader would have acknowledged the mistake and accepted all responsibility. Senator Boxer, as you may recall, was quick to admonish a General testifying before the Senate not to call her “Ma’am.” She chided the officer by reminding him that she worked hard to earn the title of Senator. Perhaps so, Senator Boxer, but you are doing little to honor the title.
Race baiting, fear mongering, arrogant and unrepentant violations of our nation’s laws should not be the standard for those we elect to serve us.
The Texas 18th deserves better than Sheila Jackson Lee. California deserves better than Barbara Boxer. America deserves better representation from our public servants.

Barbara Boxer is arrogant enough to think that this all goes away with a simple apology. Sheila Jackson Lee, on the other hand, is just too stupid to understand that she’s breaking the law.
But both are to be excused…they’re democrats.
These people have no shame! It is disgusting the way they manipulate and lie, reenforcing their lack of character. Great line about Jesse James and the bank teller. These people have no right to represent us and need to go!
