I encountered Jesus,
His love poured through my soul,
He let me know He knew it all
And then He made me whole.
I felt His love surround me,
He spoke to all my fears,
He even knew my deepest need,
The reason for my tears.
He knew me so completely,
I stood within His light,
And yet assurance of His love
Removed all doubt that night.
I’ve never felt completely loved
Until He drew me in,
What was a vacuum in my soul,
He filled up to the brim.
It takes just one encounter
And life’s forever changed,
The search for more then ended
And purpose rearranged.
Once the heart meets Jesus
There’s nothing more it needs,
He fills the soul that’s thirsty
And always intercedes.
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and over burdened, and I will cause you to rest–I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest–relief, ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet–for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good)–not harsh, hard, sharp or pressing, but comfortable, gracious and pleasant; and My burden is light and easy to be borne.” Matthew 11:28-30 (Amplified Bible)
“For I am persuaded beyond doubt–am sure–that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:38-39 (Amplified Bible)
