Pause to admire God’s handiwork,
The beauty of each day,
The gifts He has bestowed on us
To feed the soul’s bouquet.
Beyond provision of our needs
With beauty we are blessed,
With wonder we behold it all…
Creation finely dressed.
With rapture we awake at dawn
To rays of golden sun,
And weep with wonder in our souls
At sunset when day’s done.
Each season brings us new delights,
The rhythm of His hand,
With one command He planned it all,
Each one a wonderland.
Each season with its purpose
Presents a lesson new,
A guide for life within the Vine,
The seasons we pass through.
In spring we spy God’s blessings,
Abundantly arrayed,
Delighting in His mighty love,
Beyond our needs displayed.
The heat of summer presses down
Like trials to the soul,
We’re brought down to our knees, and still,
All burdens on Him roll.
The deadly weight of winter
Expressive of our grief,
And yet because our Savior lives
His promise brings relief.
His promises of life to come
If only we believe,
The treasures He has stored for us
More than we can conceive.
Beyond what we anticipate,
In love God gives us more,
Beyond requests, fulfilling dreams,
He opens heaven’s door.
