MAGNOLIA ISD – Two Magnolia High School seniors were recognized during the June Magnolia ISD board meeting for their academic accomplishments gained while competing at the UIL State Competition this past May.
Kendall Anderson, daughter of Scott and Cindy Anderson, competed in UIL Academics for 4 years, advancing to the Regional level 3 of those years. This year, she made it to the State UIL Academic meet where she competed in Persuasive Speaking. Kendall advanced to the semifinal round before finished 4th in the state. Kendall is coached by Cynthia Havron.
Katherine Fife, daughter of James and Fernanda Fife, competed at the State UIL Academic Meet, placing 6th in Accounting. It was Fife’s first year in UIL competition, and it is a tribute to her dedication to have done such an outstanding job in one year. This marks the 5th year in a row that UIL Accounting Coach Susan Mathews has advanced students to the UIL State Academic Meet. Fife was unable to be recognized during the board meeting due to pre-scheduled family commitments.
