SOUTH BURLINGTON,
VT – Pete Schweddy, and his infamous “Schweddy Balls” are a Saturday Night Live
classic and now “Schweddy Balls” is the newest flavor from Ben & Jerry’s.
It all
started in a classic SNL skit starring guest host Alec Baldwin, Ana Gasteyer
and Molly Shannon. Baldwin played Pete
Schweddy, the owner of “Season’s Eatings” on a mock NPR radio show called Delicious
Dish.

Season’s Eatings is known for producing delicious round treats, popcorn balls, rum balls and his signature “Schweddy Balls.”
“For a long time, I thought that ‘Here Lies Pete Schweddy’ would end up on
my tombstone. Now, thanks to Ben & Jerry’s, the goodness of the Schweddy
family recipe won’t go with me to the great beyond,” Baldwin said.
Ben & Jerry’s will debut the new taste teat featuring ice cream with rum
flavored balls and malted milk balls on the 37th Season Premiere of
Saturday Night Live on September 24. The
guest host will be Pete Schweddy himself; Alec Baldwin.
