MAGNOLIA ISD – Lexi Giles and Brandon Rinker, Magnolia High School seniors, have been named as 2012 National Merit Semi-Finalists. Their high PSAT scores represent the less than 1 percent of the nation’s high school graduating seniors. Lexi and Brandon will now compete for some 8,400 Merit Scholarship awards.
Having a life-long love for animals, Lexi plans to pursue a Veterinarian degree from A&M University. Brandon, who is interested in the medical field, plans to major in pre-med at A&M University, followed by a degree in Psychiatry from Baylor College of Medicine. Being named National Merit Semi-Finalists validates the commitment Lexi and Brandon have made to their academic excellence in pursuit of their chosen fields of study.
