More evidence that even the Republican Establishment™ is sick of the current GOP field. First it was Mitt Romney, now it’s Mitch Daniels.

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, who disappointed many of his
fellow Republicans when he decided against joining the field for the
2012 presidential nomination, said Friday that he would welcome former
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s (R) entering the race.“My attitude all along has been the more the merrier,” Daniels said Friday on the Laura Ingraham Show.
Could Daniels be angling to be on Sarah Palin’s short list for vice presidential picks:
Still, Daniels said “in the end I was not prepared”
to mount a presidential run. Yet in an interview Tuesday, he left the
door open for joining a ticket as a vice presidential candidate.“You can’t say you wouldn’t answer if someone called,” Daniels said. “It seems so improbable to me and certainly nothing I anticipate and something I hope doesn’t happen.”

Daniels said, “My attitude all along has been the more the merrier.” It’s hardly an all-out cry for Palin to enter the race. It’s basically how most of these people answer that question so as not to commit one way or the other.
You Palin bloggers are really beating up the rest of the field. What happens when Palin doesn’t run? How do you walk back all of those vicious attacks?
