SPRING ISD – Heritage Elementary School in Spring ISD has been named to the 2011 Texas Honors Circle. The award, created by the Texas Comptroller’s office, recognizes campuses across Texas that achieve the highest level of student success and responsible fiscal management based on the Financial Allocation Study for Texas (FAST) report. To achieve the Texas Honors Circle designation, Heritage had to have a five-star FAST rating.
The award, signed by Texas Comptroller Susan Combs states, “Your efforts set an example of wise management of educational spending while preparing students for success in college or the work force – an effort crucial to the future of Texas.”
Heritage is one of only 313 campuses in Texas to earn the award and is featured on the FAST website at www.fastexas.org. The principal at Heritage is Sherry Dunlap.
