As people of Christ
we’re never alone
but always a part
of a beautiful song,
a song so compelling
so moving, so light,
it brings out the morning;
it shatters the night.
Dear people of Christ
take heart it’s not long
until we leave Earth
and fly to our home.
And there we’ll remain
and forever belong,
much more than a part
of a beautiful song;
and there we’ll remain
and forever belong,
having become
that beautiful song.
