TOMBALL ISD – Northpointe Intermediate School sixth grade students (from left) Kennedy Thompson, Abby Osborne, and Fabian Vecchi met Michael Ford and Matt Bullen from Orphan Hope and Shannon Strossner from Living Water International. Thompson, Osborne, Vecchi, and about 50 of their classmates helped raise nearly $6,000 for both organizations.
The students were inspired to give to others after reading The Ultimate Gift by Jim Stovall, which focuses on the importance of giving. The students held a car wash, sold cookies, made jewelry and hair accessories, and did extra chores in order the raise money. Their hard work will help install a water well in Tanzania, Africa, and assist orphans living in Columbia.
