A PERFECT PARTY TREAT: BROWN SUGAR BACON-WRAPPED SAUSAGE

I wish I could take credit for this perfect party pork popper! Our
preacher’s wife introduced this delicious little appetizer, and I served
it at Christmas, much to the delight of all our family. You can serve
this up at your next gathering, Super Bowl party, or any time you’re up
for a little extra pig! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 package of cocktail sausages
1 pound of bacon
2 cups brown sugar

Directions:

Cut bacon strips in thirds.

Wrap bacon around cocktail sausages with folded side down.  Place in baking dish.

Generously cover bacon wrapped sausage in brown sugar.  Wrap with foil and refrigerate overnight.

Cook, covered, in a pre-heated 350 oven for 30 minutes.  Remove foil and cook for an additional 15 minutes or until bacon is crispy.

Remove from dish and drain on paper towels, then transfer to serving tray.
