GREEN BAY, WI – Police have pulled the body of 21-year old Michael Philbin
from the Fox River in Wisconsin. Philbin
is the son of Joe Philbin the offensive coordinator for the Green Bay
Packers.
The cause of death is yet to be determined.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday according to Police Chief Scott
Greuel of Oshkosh who spoke at a news conference.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Joe, his wife, Diane, and the
Philbin family as they cope with their loss,” Packers GM Ted Thompson said
in a realse. “This is an emotional and difficult time for them, and we ask
that everyone respect their privacy. All of us in the Packers family share in
their grief.”
Police say Michael Philbin was reported as missing on Sunday while in
Oshkosh, Wisonsin to visit friends. Philbin’s
body was found on Monday following a police alert that was issued asking
citizens to help find the young man.
Joe Philbin and his wife, Diane have six children.
