TIM TEBOW NOW MOST POPULAR ATHLETE IN AMERICA

A newly released ESPN poll says that Tim Tebow, the quarterback of the
Denver Broncos, is the most popular athlete in the nation. Tebow beat out Kobe Bryant, Aaron Rodgers,
Peyton Manning and his opponent for Saturday’s AFC Divisional Playoff game, Tom
Brady.

Tebow has transcended football and sports this year as a national figure due
to his habit of praying publicly during games.
“Tebowing” as it is called by the secular world has drawn both
admiration and hate for Tebow.

At a time when almost everyone everywhere is looking to gain their moment in
the spotlight and to use that moment to promote themselves Tebow remains a humble
servant of Jesus Christ.

When asked what the ESPN poll tells him, Tebow responded as a Christian should.

“What’s that tell me? It tells
me they have a lot of crazy polls out there. I hope people see I’m real and
genuine. I hope they see that I make a ton of mistakes but that I always get
back up and try again,” Tebow told reporters.

“But I’m very blessed. I’m trying to grow my foundation and things that
like really help. They give me a platform. I feel like now I can walk into any
Colorado hospital and talk to these kids that I want to help.”

That attitude of humility and service to the
community in the name of Christ is in short supply today, even among
Christians.
