FORT BEND ISD – The Willowridge Mighty Eagle Band, under the direction of Sybil James, received 1st Place honors in the Red Division at the 2012 All-American Battle of the Bands held on January 14 at W. W. Thorne Stadium in Aldine. Also, the Wings Dance Team and Willowridge Drum Majors both won 1st place in their respective divisions at this invitation-only event.
The band received a trophy and a $1,000 prize.
