Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Phil Jenkins of Palestine to the Upper Neches River Municipal Water Authority Board of Directors for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2017. The authority stores, controls, conserves and protects the water of the Upper Neches River.
Jenkins is retired and former co-owner of Palestine Contractors. He is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the University of Texas at Tyler Palestine Campus Development Council. He is also past board chair of the Cartmell Foundation, and a past board member of the Texas Bar Foundation. He served in the Texas Army National Guard.
Jenkins received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas.
