CPAC-TX ANNOUNCES TEXAS SENATE CANDIDATE DR. DONNA CAMPBELL AS TOP TEN CONSERVATIVE CHALLENGER

AUSTIN, TX – Texas Senate candidate Dr. Donna Campbell was recognized as one of the top ten conservative challengers in the state by CPAC of Texas at a reception Friday at the Historic Johnson Homestead. Nearly 25,000 votes were cast by Texas grassroots conservatives, with 52 candidates receiving nominations. Dr. Donna Campbell is running for the seat currently held by incumbent Sen. Jeff Wentworth of San Antonio.

“It is an honor to receive so much support from so many Texans. For too long our voice has been marginalized by a career politician who doesn’t share our core conservative values,” Donna Campbell told the crowd. “I will fight to make sure the values that make Texas great are present again in the statehouse.”

“If we’re going to take our government back, we have to go up against the big boys and take on the political interests,” Donna stated. “Anyone who has seen me speak knows I won’t back down when it comes to defending conservative principles and free enterprise. Texas still has a lot of work to do to get our house in order.”

CPAC winners were selected from among all Republican challengers in the state running against an incumbent for the 2012 election. The Friday gala kicked off a weekend conference of conservative policy discussions and keynote speakers.
