CYFAIR ISD – The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF) event “Salute to Our Heroes” is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at the Omni Hotel Westside Houston (13210 Katy Freeway).
“Salute to Our Heroes” honors the brave men and women who have served to preserve our freedom and liberty. Proceeds from this event will go to an endowment in the memory of fallen soldiers, enabling graduating students from Cypress-Fairbanks ISD to attend college.
The event will be underwritten by CTG Inc. for the fourth consecutive year. The Cypress-Fairbanks Medical Center has committed to be a Major General Sponsor for the event, while Station & Ayers Insurance Planning Services, LLC and GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA have committed to be Brigadier General sponsors.
The event will be emceed by Houston Astros announcer Bill Brown and will include a Missing Man Table and honors ceremony and silent and live auctions. The featured speaker will be Keni Thomas, an Army Ranger who was involved in the “Black Hawk Down” mission in Mogadishu, Somalia. Thomas, who is also a recording artist with two critically acclaimed projects, will also provide the live musical entertainment.
The table sponsorship costs are as follows: Major General Sponsor, $7,500; Brigadier General Sponsor, $5,000; Freedom Sponsor, $3,000; Patriot Sponsor, $2,000; Liberty Sponsor, $1,500; Foundation Star, $500; and Valor Sponsor, $150.
