THREE HISD STUDENTS CHARGED WITH AGGRAVATED ROBBERY

HOUSTON ISD – Felony charges of aggravated robbery have been filed against three students who attended Worthing High School.

According to HISD police, three males with covered faces robbed a Worthing custodian of her building keys at gunpoint in the evening hours of Nov. 28, 2011. The custodian was not physically injured. HISD police later determined the weapon used in the robbery was an air pistol, or BB gun.

Police identified three suspects shortly after reviewing campus security videotape of the incident and those students were immediately suspended from Worthing and reassigned to the Harris County Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program campus pending the investigation’s outcome. The building keys were recovered.

On Thursday, police arrested two of the suspects at the alternative campus. Those suspects are Jarmarcus Norris, 17, and Za’terriun Bolden, 17. Police had not yet taken the third suspect, 19-year-old Jamail Block, into custody as of Thursday afternoon.

The custodian who was victimized in the incident is now working at another HISD campus. She has been offered counseling services.
