President learning the hard way that many still cling to God and the Constitution
WASHINGTON,
DC – President Barack Obama will announce a plan to walk back his recent push
against Religious Freedom by attempting to force faith-based employers to
provide free birth control, abortions and sterilization.
The AP is
reporting that an unnamed source within the Obama Administration has confirmed
that Obama will make the announcement today.
The
decision to make contraceptive and other reproductive options available to
employees of faith-based organizations has sparked a major backlash from the
Catholic Church and other Christian organizations in recent days. Some believe it was that backlash that
propelled the staunchly pro-life GOP candidate for president, Rick Santorum, to
major victories this week in Minnesota, Missouri and Colorado.
The AP
reports, “Republican leaders and religious groups, especially
Roman Catholics, responded with intense outrage, saying the requirement would
force them to violate church teachings and long-held beliefs against
contraception.
“The issue also pushed social issues to the forefront in an election year
that had been dominated by the economy. Abortion, contraception and any of the
requirements of Obama’s health care overhaul law have the potential to
galvanize the Republicans’ conservative base, critical to voter turnout in the
presidential and congressional races.”
The actions of the President were an attack from the rear upon Freedom of
Religion and would require Christian and Catholic charities, schools and
hospitals to comply with a measure that goes against their basic beliefs.
Mr. Obama overstepped his authority as President of the United States in
direct violation of the U.S. Constitution and got called on it by the people,
the Congress, the Catholic Church, the Christian community and may have fired
the shot that galvanized the GOP conservative base.

He’s also angered his base who was in favor of this overreach of authority. They would have respected him more for sticking to his guns, but walking it back has again proved how weak of a leader he truly is. Double win for Republicans and Christians!
