A successful coup d’etat always involve control of the media

WASHINGTON, DC – Media Matters For America is
a registered non-profit organization whose stated purpose is primarily
educational. A recent series of reports
in The Daily Caller, using tax returns, internal emails and memos from Media Matters, shows
a far more sinister goal for the liberally-backed organization.

The Daily Caller reveals several disturbing
factors about Media Matters and its financial supporters.

• In 2006 Media Matters took a
  $50,000 “grant” specifically to monitor and attack Christian news outlets.

• Media Matters takes credit
  for Glenn Beck’s exit from Fox News

• Media Matters takes credit
  for CNN’s firing of Lou Dobbs

• Media Matters takes credit
  for Pat Buchanan’s recent firing

•  Media Matters boasts that it
  basically controlled the programming of MSNBC

• Media Matters operates a media boot camp as part of its Progressive Talent Initiative that trains liberal pundits in the hundreds to saturate the news media with a unified liberal voice.

The $50,000 grant to attack Christian news
outlets like CBN came from the ACRA Foundation, a 60-year old fund that supports
Democrats and the liberal agenda.  The
executive director of Media Matters in 2006, Donna Edwards, is now a member of
Congress from Maryland.

ACRA is not the only powerful liberal foundation
to keep Media Matters afloat. Overall,
Daily Caller reports that Media Matters has received more than $28.8 million in
funding since 2003. 54% of Media Matters
overall funding has come from liberal foundations.

Donors include:

Tides Foundation ($4,384,702)

George Soros’ Open Society
Institutes ($1,075,000)

The Ford Foundation ($966,466)

The Sandler Foundation ($400,000) which is endowed by subprime mortgage lenders Herb and Marion Sandler, who once
bankrolled the embattled ACORN organization.

The Schumann Fund for Media and
Democracy ($600,000), managed by longtime PBS host Bill Moyers and his son.

MoveOn.org ($50,000)

The Barbra Streisand Foundation
($85,000)

Stride Rite Charitable Foundation
($25,000)

The Lear Family Foundation ($55,000), endowed by the TV producer and People for the American Way founder Norman
Lear.

The Joyce Foundation ($400,000),
whose board of directors included Barack Obama from 1994 to 2002.

DailyCaller reports:

“The
Joyce Foundation grant, made in 2010, was earmarked for ‘a gun and public
safety issue initiative.’ That program, judging from the ensuing Media Matters
coverage, included scathing reports on the shooting-sports lobby and on the
firearms industry’s annual convention. ‘To lure repeat buyers,’ that story
warned, “increased lethality has become the nicotine of the firearms industry.

“2010 was also, The DC reported
Monday, the year when Media Matters’ founder David Brock’s personal
assistant was carrying a holstered and concealed Glock handgun when he
accompanied Brock to events.”

‘Do as I say, not as I do’ is the mantra of the liberal who does not trust you to make decisions, but believes instead you must be subservient to their greater knowledge and wisdom.

Media Matters and its high-dollar
liberal supporters have influenced the national media like no other
organization in history. Media Matters
is on the path to fulfilling its mission to destroy conservative America, and
all that conservatives stand for, particularly the Constitution and Faith.

The supporters of Media Matters are
wealthy, powerful and dedicated to a dramatic transformation of America into a
European style socialist society where the elites rule and the rest languish in poverty
and despair.

Those liberal multi-millionaires and
billionaires know that in any successful coup d’etat the insurgents must
control the media. In the third world
that means military control, in the world of George Soros, Barbra Streisand and
Bill Moyers, that means controlling the tone and the content of the media.

The coup is underway and it is so
subtle that few see it coming, and few ever will, because you’ll never find
this story in the mainstream media. 

America will go out not with a bang, but a whimper as our freedoms are whittled away by the mega-rich who hunger for socialistic control, and we the people sit idly by repeating over and over “it could never happen here.”

It is happening.  Wake up.  Pay attention.
