Marjorie Dannenfelser, President of the Susan B. Anthony list says, “My Hill contacts are saying Pelosi needs 6 more votes out of a pool of 15 undecided. We have to move fast.” The need to move fast is due to the fact that time is running out and America is poised on the verge of having health care reform that will use tax payer money to fund abortions.
"Be wise," Lent tells us, "Keep your jars filled with oil."
A small piece of Layla will be forever in our hearts. She is more than just a passing sympathy or a news story. She’s changed many of us, and some of us profoundly. But we know what the coming days hold. There is laundry to fold, soccer schedules to keep, jobs to do, and demands to face. If we’re not intentional, the lessons we’ve learned from Layla could easily become faded or lost in the clamor of noise and demands that will bombard us in the coming days.
Thousands of people have posted comments on the laylagrace website, with one after another saying things like this:
I have reached out to Twitter, Facebook and all the social network sites, just to feel a sense of unity, that I’m not crazy for feeling this way. My family can’t seem to understand why I’ve been affected so much, to be honest, neither can I. But I am thankful for being introduced to Layla. I thank the Marsh family for sharing her journey with me. I will never be the same.
Layla Grace Marsh grabbed the attention of the world in her two short years of life. Because of her, many of us hold our children a little bit longer and a little bit tighter each night. Because of her, we’ve re-evaluated our priorities to focus on the things that truly matter. Because of her, we have been forever changed. The “ripple effect” of this little girl has been nothing short of amazing.
Forgiveness frees the
path for the flow of the
Holy Spirit. Often we
ask God to be patient
with our own fallings,
failings and short
comings, but we do not
exercise the same type of
patience with others.
All Christians have
fallen, failed, and come
short of the Glory of
God. Therefore we should
imitate our forgiving
Father by initiating
forgiveness. This will
improve our fellowship,
relationship,
companionship, courtship,
partnership, leadership
and worship. The Holy
Spirit is ready to fill,
fulfill, flow and
overflow, but He is
waiting on us to 'let it
go'.
If asked how you worship God, how would you answer? Worship is so much more than participating in a part of Saturday or Sunday service. To worship is to adore, to acknowledge, to accept and to abide in the very presence, power and purpose of God. True worship is a lifestyle of welcoming the presence of God, wallowing in the power of God, and wooing the purpose of God. It's easy for most of us to start our week with worship, but then we start to whine during the week when we get whacked and whipped with Satan's worldly whirlwinds. So let's not get caught up in the weekly warfare, but let's withstand and be worshipers and warriors all week long.
One of the ways we can pray in the Spirit is praying in tongues.
You may have heard the phrase; I live by faith and not by sight. However, do you really believe it?
