Sometimes God answers our prayers by eliminating our trials, by empowering us to endure our trials, then there are times He gives us wings like eagles that enables us to escape our trials. Either way, we can have confident expectation that God's eyes are on our circumstances, His ears are open to our cries, and His grace and mercy is enough to keep us no matter what the trial. So be encouraged, and expect God to eliminate, eradicate, exhilarate and to elevate!!!

Between the time when Ishmael was born and the appearance of God to Abram in Genesis 17, 13 years had elapsed. What took place in that household during those years in many cases was very painful. The worst of which God had not appeared or spoken to Abram. Talk about a spiritual drought. When God did appear to him, Abram was so overcome he fell on his face.

We as a society are sometimes like Jonah. The Lord will tell us to go in a certain direction and we will ignore Him or rebel against Him. Just as God got Jonah's full attention, He can get ours too. He will get us right where He wants us and tell us again what He wants us to do. When God want us to do something, we should be honored and ready to do His will. It is going to benefit others and it will be a blessing to us. Plus, God gets the glory.

When others see you are being calm in the middle of all that is going on, they have to wonder where it comes from. For some it may come from abusing alcohol, or drugs, or a cigarette, but for me it comes from knowing who is in control of my life. What calms you down?

Psalms 119:105
Go to God's word. It will bring light to your path.

The Bible is the #1 best selling book of all time. Year after year it continues to show up on the best seller's list. Millions of people throughout the world own a Bible, but many don't understand its value, its importance. The Bible is taken for granted, tossed to and fro, and an object, in many cases, that just collects dust.

The Holy Bible is the written Word of God. The Bible was given thousands of years ago to bring hope, knowledge, and instruction to generation after generation of readers. The Word is life. The scriptures are given for help, understanding, and healing. It is amazing that a portion of scripture will give exactly what we need for whatever the current situation. The words remain the same but it molds to the present need.

A man had a fig tree in a vineyard. He came looking for fruit on it but found none. There was nothing but leaves on it. The man told the keeper of the vineyard that for three years he has came seeking fruit on this fig tree and has found none. He told the keeper to cut down the tree, because it is just wasting the ground.

The keeper told the man to leave it alone for a year, and he would dig around it and fertilize it. Then, if it bears fruit, fine, but if it doesn't, then he could have it cut down.

The church world today is in a battle with the enemy. The devil is sending out the evil spirit of slothfulness and laziness to everyone throughout society, both young and old alike.

You can definitely see it in the workplace. Companies and corporations can’t seem to keep employees, no matter the benefits, no matter the pay. The world in general, especially America has forgotten the importance of being committed and dedicated. Most individuals find it easier to relocate. A hard days work is just too much to bear in the modern day job environment. All the new technologies and modern conveniences have made it easier to put in less effort. There is a decline in the pride of a job well done. The time of a good days work for a good days pay are slipping away. We want to do less for more money in most cases. People want to be pacified more than ever before.

Many times in our Christian walk, we get lost. We may feel like we’re doing the right things, but after some time we realize that somewhere along the way, we missed God’s directions and don’t know how we ended up where we are. And like the proverbial husband, we want to try to figure it out ourselves instead of asking for directions.
