Waiting for a bolt of light
We don't need to go to college
Learning how to get it right
We have everything inside us
Jesus lives within our heart
Time is flashing by before us
Now's the time to make a start.
I have suffered untold pain
Limping through a red hot desert
Hoping for a fall of rain
Why has God allowed this torment
Surely I'm His special one
Never there when I am calling
On this journey I've begun.
The lowest of the low
Normally you'd sum her up

I am His and He is mine
Need to form relationship
Let Him in to guide my life

Shunning all that is around
Place Him first in all I do
So that my intentions sound.
Life as we know it can change in a flash
Someone beloved has died in a crash
Wasn't prepared for the difference it makes
Quite overwhelmed as emotion partakes
Cannot believe that I'm feeling so sad
Being immune from the past that I've had
This is a glimmer, perhaps I have changed
Self has been melted, my heart rearranged.
Don't forget, you must remember There is someone watching you Always ready with an answer When your life is in the glue He is waiting for permission Patiently He waits your call Can you really do without Him Are you ready for a fall.
At this moment of my time
Life is going well
A calming peace has entered in
As things begin to gel
Am I finally at the place
Where I have given in
To be the vessel that He wants
So He can dwell within.
He was great
He saw what I was going through
He's my mate
He took away the evil thoughts
That clogged my human mind
Gave me strength to counter them
He gave sight to the blind.
Coming from your being
Years of wear and tear have brought
The sight that you are seeing
You've tried to keep the past contained
Believing you're okay
Finally you've seen the truth
You're calling it a day.
If you ever need a friend
One who's with you to the
end
Never ever lets you down
Even though He wears a
crown
Very like a vacuum cleaner
Life can suck from time to time
Walking through a shady forest
Sunlight hidden from the grime
Everything is going smoothly
Things are really on the up
Then suggestion hits your brain cell
With the devil you can sup.
Like an escalator
Our lives are up and down
One day we are full of fun
The next we wear a frown
We can let it take the strain
Or walk against it's flow
Surely if we used our heads
We'd know which way to go.
In my cistern, there I lay
Living water drained away
Open to the devils realm
God no longer at my helm
There is no sign of life
The days drag on their dreary way
A place of fear and strife
The joy of color turned to gray
There is no joy at all
What has happened to this house
When will some daylight call.
One that is sincere
