
The deadline to register in advance for the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce upcoming E3 –Educate, Enrich, Empower—Small Business Conference is nearing. Advanced registration is due by Friday, Sept. 3.
Registration for the half-day business symposium, at the Elmer L. Beckendorf Conference Center in Tomball, is $59 for GTACC members; $79 for non members; and $49 per person for five or more within a group. The GTACC E3 Business Conference will begin at 8 a.m. with a continental breakfast and check-in. Lunch is also included in the registration fee. The Elmer L. Beckendorf Conference Center is located on the Lone Star College-Tomball campus.
Pageant returns to Salem Lutheran worship center
Applications for the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce 2011 Miss Tomball Pageant are now available at the Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce, 29201 Quinn Rd., Ste. B.
The pageant will celebrate its 45th anniversary this year on Saturday, Nov. 20, and will continue with the GTACC’s Tomball Holiday Parade theme, “Peace, Love and Holidays.” For the second consecutive year the Miss Tomball Pageant will be presented in the Salem Lutheran Church worship center — a highly acclaimed performance venue in Tomball.
Compass Pointe Homes opens model home
The Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon cutting for Compass Pointe Homes at 15818 Pine Country Blvd. The celebration marked the opening of a model home in the new Pine Country subdivision, just off FM 2920 west of Tomball. Still time for parade entries
On Wednesday, July 28, a delegation from the Greater Area Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce traveled to the Channel 11 studios in Houston to be a part of Great Day Houston, a morning show hosted by local celebrity Deborah Duncan. Transportation to the show was provided by Hampton Inn & Suites Tomball.
The Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce brought home a third place media award from the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives Conference in Nacogdoches, June 27-29. GTACC received the award for its 2010 directory/magazine, The Spirit of Tomball Texas.
